Debra Richter

Scholarship & Stewardship Officer

Debbie has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than 20 years in various positions ranging from Program Director to Director of Development. Prior to her non-profit work, she taught Public Speaking at Cleveland State University and has also worked in the for-profit sector.  In her role as the Foundation’s Scholarship & Stewardship Officer, Debbie oversees the process of creating named scholarship funds with new LCCC Foundation donors as well as stewarding established scholarship supporters.

Her greatest work-related enjoyment is using her compassion and interpersonal skills while assisting prospective donors in their efforts to leave a lasting legacy in which they can be proud – and then continuing to ensure their wishes are met each year. Debbie holds an Associate’s degree in General Studies from Lorain County Community College; Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from Baldwin Wallace University; and a Master’s degree in Applied Communication Theory and Methodology (MACTM) from Cleveland State University.
